Description

The SH-LA101POE POE Network Surge Protector is professionally designed and manufactured in strict accordance with international IEC standards and national GB standards, while fully complying with the IEEE802.3at protocol. This dual compliance ensures it is compatible with most POE-powered devices on the market and delivers stable performance that meets industry-wide safety and technical requirements, avoiding compatibility issues or performance gaps in real-world use.

 

It integrates surge protection functions for both network signals and POE power supply into a single unit, realizing “one-device dual protection”. For network signals, it effectively suppresses sudden voltage spikes caused by lightning strikes, power grid fluctuations, or equipment interference—preventing signal distortion, packet loss, or damage to the device’s network interface. For POE power supply, it stabilizes the power output and absorbs surge energy, shielding connected devices from power surges that could lead to shutdowns, component burnout, or permanent failure.

 

This protection design makes it highly suitable for safeguarding the power and network signal lines of various communication devices, such as POE-powered servers, wireless access points (APs), network cameras, and network switches. It is particularly valuable in outdoor or harsh environments (like open-air monitoring sites, industrial workshops, or outdoor wireless coverage points) where surge risks are significantly higher than in indoor spaces.

 

Additionally, the device adopts an all-in-one integrated structure that simplifies on-site installation. It eliminates the need for separate deployment of independent signal surge protectors and power surge protectors, reducing wiring complexity and saving installation time—whether for new device setups or retrofits of existing systems, it can be quickly integrated into the network.

Installation Instructions

  1. The POE network surge protector can be installed in the LPZ0-1 zone or directly in series at the front end of the protected device (or system). It should be installed as close as possible to the protected device (or system).
  2. Connect the input end (IN) of the surge protector to the signal cable and the output end (OUT) to the protected device. **Do not reverse the connections**.
  3. The PE wire of the surge protector must be strictly connected to the grounding system with equipotential bonding; otherwise, its performance will be affected.
  4. No special maintenance is required for this product. During installation, keep it as close to the device as possible. If a system fault is suspected to be caused by the surge protector, disconnect it and check again. If the system returns to normal, replace the surge protector.
  5.  Use the shortest possible grounding wire for the surge protector. The grounding is achieved via terminal blocks. The grounding wire must be connected to the surge protection ground (or the housing of the protected device). The shielded wire of the signal cable can be directly connected to the grounding terminal.
    6. The surge protector requires no long-term maintenance when installed within specified conditions, only routine system maintenance. If signal transmission issues occur during use and are resolved after removing the surge protector, the protector is damaged and needs repair or replacement.
