Description
The SH-SPD101PW, also known as Power & Network Combined Surge Arrester or Power & Network Integrated Surge Protective Device, is designed and manufactured in strict compliance with international IEC standards and national GB standards—ensuring its protection performance and safety meet industry-wide rigorous requirements, and avoiding potential risks caused by non-compliant equipment.
It focuses on solving the dual surge threats of power supply and network signals, primarily used to shield low-voltage equipment, security devices (such as surveillance cameras), telecommunications equipment, and network devices (like switches or routers) from damage caused by Lightning Electromagnetic Pulse (LEMP) on 220V low-voltage power lines and 100M network signal lines. LEMP, a common hazard in outdoor or complex electrical environments, can easily cause equipment shutdown, component burnout, or permanent failure without protection—while this device absorbs and diverts surge energy in time to prevent such risks.
As an all-in-one multifunctional Surge Protective Device (SPD), it integrates power surge protection and network signal surge protection into a single unit. This design eliminates the need for separate deployment of two independent protectors, reducing on-site installation space, simplifying wiring, and lowering overall procurement and maintenance costs—while providing comprehensive, synchronized protection for critical systems (such as security monitoring systems, small data rooms, or telecommunications access points) to ensure their continuous and stable operation.
Installation Instructions
- This surge protective device (SPD) shall be installed in series ahead of the protected equipment’s port (“INPUT” terminal connected to the incoming line, “OUTPUT” terminal connected to the protected equipment). The “PE” terminal must be connected to the lightning protection ground network or equipotential terminal strip.
- Power Line Terminal Connection (Power Supply Part): Connect the two ends of the power supply to “L/+” and “N/-” respectively.
- RJ45 Network Signal Line Connection: Install in series; directly plug the RJ45 crystal head into the corresponding port.
- The cross-sectional area of the grounding wire shall be ≥2.5mm² and as short as possible. The grounding resistance for installing this surge protector shall be less than 4 ohms, ensuring optimal lightning protection performance when the grounding wire and resistance meet the requirements.
- This surge protector requires no maintenance, but its operating status shall be promptly inspected and recorded after thunderstorms.

- All ports on the surge protector’s output side must be connected to the protected equipment.
- Do not reverse or misconnect positive/negative lines, and never perform live operations.
- The surge protector should be installed as close as possible to the front end of the protected equipment for optimal effectiveness.
- Regularly inspect the equipment. If the product deteriorates, replace it immediately.
- Grounding must be reliable, with a grounding resistance of ≤4Ω. For high-difficulty grounding environments (e.g., mountainous areas or sandy soil), the resistance may be relaxed to ≤10Ω.
